MACAU SAR – Media OutReach – May 23, 2022 – AXA Hong Kong and Macao (AXA) today announced the launch of WiseProtect Pro” medical insurance plan (“WiseProtect Pro”)which provides customers with comprehensive and quality protection with medical coverage including up to MOP 40 million annual benefit limit, no lifetime benefit limit, full coverage1 for qualified medical treatment with no waiting period. Plus, the premier “Noble” benefit tier provides worldwide (non-US) medical coverage2 to meet the needs of customers studying abroad or on business trips.
Three notable features of the WiseProtect Pro are the following:
1) No lifetime benefit limit; up to MOP 40 million annual benefit limit
As medical costs continue to rise, customers of all WiseProtect Pro benefit levels will enjoy coverages with no lifetime benefit limits. The annual benefit limits for the “Regular”, “Enhance” and “Premier” benefit levels are MOP 5 million, MOP 25 million and MOP 30 million respectively. Customers on the “Noble” benefit level will enjoy an annual benefit limit of up to MOP 40 million. Coverage allows our customers to focus on resolving their health issues without worrying about exhausting the benefit ceiling.
2) The “Noble” benefit level offers a2 medical cover
Embracing the concept of global citizenship, the premier level “Noble” benefits offer worldwide2 non-emergency treatment coverage, so clients can benefit from quality medical protection even when they are abroad. Insured persons may also benefit from a private nursing service provided by a qualified nurse for a maximum of 30 days per year of insurance during their hospitalization. Insured persons under the age of 18 hospitalized for at least 5 consecutive days are eligible for additional financial assistance of up to MOP 5,0003. It also offers full coverage1 for prescribed non-surgical cancer treatments and unlimited designated follow-up outpatient care claims within 180 days of discharge from hospitalization for major or complex surgery. With the new warranty covering specified reconstructive surgeries, including oral and maxillofacial procedures after an accident and breast reconstruction surgery, “WiseProtect Pro” can help customers overcome different health issues.
In addition, insured persons in the “Enhance” benefit level can receive a daily cash benefit4 MOP 1,000 when hospitalized in a lower class in Hong Kong and Macao, while those in the Premier and Noble benefit tiers can receive MOP 2,000.
A series of additional support services to meet the medical needs of policyholders at all times
In addition, a cashless service within the AXA Signature Network will be available for “WiseProtect Pro” policyholders, to save customers time when processing medical claims.
